Hello all!!! Although this week has shattered our dreams of having a great year, as all loyal Browns Backers will, I will remain optimistic (or at least try...or, at the very least pretend)...
Anyway, a HUGE THANKS! to Don 'schmel' for tirelessly working on and putting this message board and THE WEB SITE together! A fantastic job! Don has donated his time, blood, sweat & tears (for free!). This web site would have cost much more than we could ever have paid. Thus, it would not exist as you see it (lot's o' stuff!!!!) Please let him know how much you appreciate it! Register and voice your opinion on what ever you want!

Ross & I will attend more games this year. He left touring and has become a real estate agent. Ross is focusing on people relocating to Tennessee. Please visit his website at www.RossRylance.com. Looking forward to the season. I have made some really cool dog pound jewelry (e.g., bracelets, earings & matching pendants). I'll bring them to the first game we attend. The website is awesome! Thanks Don for the hard work and time invested in creating the website. Kathleen & Ross Rylance

I'm new here, but would like to offer one suggestion and ask a question.
Suggestion......... create a forum for the introduction of new members to this MB.
Question............ could whomever is in charge of MTBB membership please PM me at this site and lay out the details for officially joining the MTBBs !! I was a member briefly long ago when the club was at the Boardwalk Cafe in Nashville, but would jump at the chance to rejoin now that I no longer plan to spend $200+ for Sunday Ticket and can instead spend what will likely wind up being a bit more (over the course of the season) at The Nashville Palace !!!
I met some of you at The Box Seat last preseason, but I hope to meet ALL OF YOU this coming season !!

While I certainly cannot speak for every Browns fan, I know that for my part..... I HATE THE NFL OFF SEASON !!
I lean/rely heavily on a series of smaller (and far less important) things in order to get me through.
Once the Browns are no longer playing.....which in the coming season, I am thinking could possibly be longer than ever before (as in Super Bowl.... YESSS !!).... here are the things I use to pass the months:
1. NCAA Basketball/March Madness..... funny, the season actually starts back in November, but who cares that early??
2. Nashville Predators....... Now I must admit that over the years, I never had much interest in the NHL. Mostly because I never have and still don't know and/or understand all the rules. Well, that and I have never played hockey. But I have been to a few games over the past couple seasons and I enjoy it much more than I thought I would !!
Hey !! Here's a thought...... why not get a group together (next spring, of course) for a Predators hockey game that will be televised on Fox Sports South ?? A gaggle of seats in the Sommet Center where everyone is wearing Browns jerseys/apparel would likely garner a bit of attention IMO !! I could call in to 104.5 The Zone the week before and tell Terry Crisp we'll be there, which would almost certainly get us a mention on the air during his broadcast with Pete Weber !!
3. Of course, I also try and keep up as much as I can with the NFL Draft. My typical cheer during draft time switches from "Go Browns" to "Go Phil Savage" !!
4. NASCAR is something that I was never into in years past, but my nephew got me involved in a NASCAR Fantasy Racing League at Yahoo a couple years ago, and it actually gave me a reason to watch !! I still don't know squat about what driver is good on what track or much of anything else, but at least I can root for the drivers I have in place in a given week.
5. I have both a wedding anniversary and my birthday (today, actually) in April, so I guess since it is still offseason, they would count as well in terms of things which get me by til football season.
Anyway.... you were wanting suggestions for offseason events......
A spring softball league with teams consisting of fan clubs from other teams such as the Titans, Preds, Vols, Vandy, etc. might be possible. The Packer Backers have a group that meets not far from The Nashville Palace, I think they still meet at Scoreboard's Bar & Grill..... or a winter/spring Bowling league with the same format.
.....and last but not least, the MTBBs could volunteer to work the phones for the Charles Davis Foundation radio telethon that 104.5 The Zone does each year. However, I am not sure exactly when they do that.....
.....well, those are just a couple of ideas that came to mind while I was sitting here at my desk. When more occur to me, I'll pass those along as well.....
ALOHA !!!!
